Rookies Division - This division is for players between the ages of 4 and 6 years old as of December 31st of the prior calendar year.  This is an introductory, instructional division that consists of tee and coach pitch using a Softie ball.  Players are taught the basics of softball and team sportsmanship.  Events take place on weekend mornings and consist of a 40 minute clinic followed by a 40 minute game.  All players are placed on a team and receive a uniform jersey and socks.  Players are required to wear gray softball pants.  At a minimum, all players should have a glove and cleats.  We recommend having a fielding mask.  The league can provide helmets and bats although most players have their own as needed.  Click to register

 

Minis Division - This division is for players between the ages of 7 and 8 years old as of December 31st of the prior calendar year.  Players that are 6 years old with at least 1 year of experience in either the Rookies division or baseball equivalent may participate in this division.  This division teaches the fundamentals of the game and uses an 11” softball with a combination of coach pitch and player pitch with coach relief after ball 4.  All players are placed on a team and receive a uniform jersey and socks.  Players are required to wear gray softball pants.  On average, teams have 2 games and 1 practice per week.  At a minimum, all players should have a glove and cleats, and are required to wear a fielding mask in the infield.  The league can provide helmets and bats as needed.  All players are required to attend an evaluation session and will be selected to a team.  Click to register

 

Minors Division - This division is for players between the ages of 9 and 10 years old as of December 31st of the prior calendar year.  Players that are 8 years old can play at this level with approval from a league official or their previous year’s coach.  This division uses an 11” softball with player pitch and builds on the fundamentals of the game.  All players are placed on a team and receive a uniform jersey and socks.  Players are required to wear gray softball pants.  On average, teams have 2 games and 1 practice per week with games and practices on weekdays and weekends.  At a minimum, all players should have a glove and cleats, and are required to wear a fielding mask in the infield.  The league can provide helmets and bats as needed.  All players are required to attend an evaluation session and will be selected to a team.  Click to register

 

Majors Division - This division is for players between the ages of 11 and 13 years old as of December 31st of the prior calendar year.  Players that are 10 years old can play at this level with approval from a league official or their previous year’s coach.  This division uses a 12” softball and involves a higher level of softball play such as bunting, stealing, sliding, etc.  All players are placed on a team and receive a uniform jersey and socks.  Players are required to wear gray softball pants.  On average, teams have 2 games and 1 practice per week with games and practices on weekdays and weekends.  At a minimum, all players should have a glove and cleats, and are required to wear a fielding mask in the infield.  The league can provide helmets and bats as needed.  All players are required to attend an evaluation session and will be selected to a team.  Click to register

House League Schedule Summary 2020

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Minis, Minors and Majors divisions.  Each division will have a day on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday where they will have a game or practice.  For example, week 1, Minis will have a game or practice on Tuesday, Minors will have a game or practice on Wednesday and Majors will have a game or practice on Thursday.  This schedule will rotate throughout the season so week 2, Tuesday will be the Minors day, Wednesday will be the Majors day and Thursday will be the Minis day.  Week 3, Tuesday Majors, Wednesday Minis, Thursday Minors.  Practices will be at Newfield Elementary School.  Games are typically at 6:00 PM at Troy fields.

Friday
Fridays will be a wild card day where we will schedule various events such as house league games, travel games and clinics.  Games are typically at 6:00 PM at Troy fields.

Monday
Ideally, Mondays will be an off day for the house league.  However, we will use Mondays to reschedule rainouts for house league games.

Saturday, Sunday
The Rookies division will play at 8:30 or 10:00 on Saturday and Sunday.  The house league teams in the Minis, Minors and Majors division could have a game or practice on Saturday and a game or practice on Sunday.  We will have rotating time slots for each division on Saturday and Sunday.  12:00, 2:00 and 4:00.

The Middle School league will run from Apr-14 to mid May.  We modified the Middle school schedule to be in-line with other Middle School sports.  As a result, there will be 5 or 6 regular season games and a single elimination tournament.  The start time for Middle school games will continue to be 3:45.
